MONORAIL SUPERVISOR

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

$14.15 - $16.25 based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

​The position of Monorail Supervisor will involve communicating and coordinating the production schedule to the appropriate personnel to maximize system output.  The Monorail Supervisor must utilize leadership, flexibility and organizational skills that encourage “teamwork” within the production department.  This position requires “working” the production area to set the example to all personnel.

  • Mature leadership and organizational skills.  Set the example regarding teamwork, coaching and motivating the entire line.

  • Excellent communication “people” skills with all personnel.

  • Common sense and trouble-shooting skills.

  • Ability to treat all personnel with respect, fairness and professionalism.

  • Dedication, dependability, self-motivated, excellent supervisory, leadership and time management skills.

  • Total system knowledge, ability to take educated “risks” in an attempt to strive for continuous improvement in meeting customer expectations in quality, production and profitability.

  • Knowledge of production customer’s service requirements.

  • Available to work overtime when required.

  • Willingness to grow and expand with the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review/plan and then implement the necessary steps to meet the schedule as directed by the Production Scheduler.  Communicate/coach/motivate/coordinate the line workers to efficiently meet/exceed the production schedule.

  • Constantly “Coach” the production personnel (contract/new hires) to efficiently maximize the total system (line set-up, tooling, line workers) to efficiently meet/exceed the production schedule.

  • Consistently strive for system improvement in order to maximize production efficiencies while maintaining a clean, safe, organized work area. (Housekeeping, Quality Assurance)

  • Responsible for total plant security, personnel safety and records.

  • Enforce corporate policies and procedures (employee handbook policies, Health and Safety procedures, and emergency situations)

  • Appropriate and Professional contact and knowledge of customer concerns and expectations.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills (written/verbal) with appropriate personnel and departments. (ex: Maintenance Department, Production and Quality Assurance)

  • Total system knowledge with ability to “jump into” any job function as necessary to maintain plant efficiencies. (Shipping/Receiving department, Lab, Auditing, Material Handling)
